Isse Abdillahi Hersi

Isse Abdillahi Hersi is a self-educated renewable technologies developer. Isse Abdillahi Hersi founded a local NGO called Sustainable Djibouti and launched a social startup, Acacia Green Technologies, where they recently finalized the research and development aspect. Here, they have functioning prototypes of small wind turbines that are two-in-one pump and generator, as well as concentrating solar power (CSP) units and biogas units for rural electrification. Isse recently started to work for a governmental project, a hybrid 100 MWe geothermal and CSP on-grid plant, as project developer and consultant for a pre-feasibility study. Stayed in Africa.
