Jacob Moeketsi Rabodila

Mr Moeketsi Rabodila is Director- General of the Mpumalanga provincial government, a position he has held since January 2010. He has a BA degree from the University of the Witswatersrand and a MBA from the University of Pretoria. Mr Rabodila is a former municipal manager of Merafong City Local Municipality. He has extensive banking experience, having worked at operational and executive level at three major banks in South Africa: First National Bank, Absa and Standard Bank.

His banking roles included branch management, business banking, provincial management, group marketing, national sales and corporate banking. Mr Rabodila joined government in 1996 when he worked for the then Department of Development Planning and Local Government.

His main responsibilities included management of the Project Viability programme, municipal financial assessment and capacity building, municipal viability reports and compliance with the Public Finance Management Act.
