Jarred Cinman

Jarred Cinman is Joint CEO of VMLY&R South Africa and a long-time pioneer in South Africa’s digital landscape. He began his career in digital advertising in the early 90s when the Internet was still new and not well understood. As a result, he learnt almost everything he knows on the job and has helped shape the digital marketing industry in SA, starting the country’s first digital agency in the process. He is also a board member of the ACA and a founder of the IAB South Africa. Jarred’s enthusiasm to embrace new technologies has kept VMLY&R agile and made it a leader in innovation. A philosopher by nature (and qualification), Jarred has an incisive mind and a forthright approach that is refreshingly unscripted. Outside of office hours, Jarred composes experimental electronic music when his hands are not full with parenting a boisterous three-year-old.
