Jeremy Mansfield

Jeremy Mansfield, whose full name is Robert Jeremy Mansfield, was born in Grahamstown South Africa, where he stayed to attend Rhodes University.

Jeremy started his career when he was still studying. In 1985 he started working for Capital Radio 604, a Durban based station. That same year he was awarded the AA Vita as The Most Promising Young South African Actor. Jeremy joined Talk 702 when Capital Radio closed in 1990.

The Rude Awakening was a 94.7 Highveld Radio breakfast show that Jeremy hosted between 1997 – 2010. Jeremy left in 2010 to focus on other areas of his career.

Many South Africans will recognise Jeremy from SABC 2’s educational program A Word or 2. Jeremy hosted this show for ten seasons. Before this, he presented on M-Net and Supersport. He was also the voice of Lifer in Disney’s Toy Story 3.

Jeremy was the only radio personality to make it onto 2004’s Top 100 South African Personalities. He was number 53.
