Joey

Joey was born and raised in Lesotho in a town called Hlotse. He then moved to Mpumalanga where he started his Music Career at the age of 10. He started singing/performing in different churches.

Joey, recorded a self-financed CD in 2009 titled “Dwala Lami”. He then released a second CD in 2011 titled “Lerato La Jesu”. These albums were promoted in the streets and churches by Joey himself.

Joey has also worked with the likes of the late Vuyo Mokoena, Sister Blaze, Justice Mofoleng the Legend of Lesotho. In early 2009 Joey, was discovered by Oupa Montshiwagae from Spirit Music visiting at his Church as a guest speaker to Preach.

In 2012 Spirit Music signed Joey – and subsequently performed on the “Spirit of Praise” vol. 4 Project singing “Jonna wee” and “Lekunutung le Morena”.

This project was recorded “Live” at the Big Top Arena and featured artists like Benjamin Dube, Kgotso Makgalema, Tshepiso, Zaza and Omega.

In 2013 Spirit Music released Joey’s first album titled – “Stay with me”.
