John Kweku Asamoah

Dr. John Kweku Asamoah is currently the Managing Director of the Bank. Until his appointment, he was the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Bank. He commenced his career with Habitat for Humanity Ghana, a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) as an Accounts Officer. He commenced his banking career at International Commercial Bank (ICB) Limited now FBN (Bank Limited) in 2001 and rose through the ranks to become the Head of the Accounting and Reconciliation Unit in the Financial Control Department. John Kweku Asamoah moved on to uniBank in 2008 and played various management roles in Accounts/Finance and Risk Management.

He joined NIB in 2014 as the General Manager for the Client Services Division with oversight responsibility for Credit, Sales and Business Development and Customer Service and was appointed as the COO in January 2016. He is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (Ghana). He is also a member of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), UK and Chartered Financial Managers (CFM), USA and a Fellow of the Institute of Certified Book-keepers (ICB) UK. He has an MBA in Strategic and Consultancy Management and a Phd in Marketing Management from the Universidad Empresarial, Costa Rica.
