Joy Okedi Karabo Norman

Ms Norman joined the Botswana Power Corporation on the 1st November 2016, from the Local Enterprise Authority (LEA) where she had held the position of Corporate Secretary and Legal Services Manager since December 2014. Prior to joining LEA Ms Norman had worked as a Magistrate in Molepolole and Gaborone, presiding over civil, affiliation, criminal and traffic matters and also as a Prosecutions Counsel with the Directorate of Public Prosecutions in Gaborone.

Ms Norman holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of Johannesburg, and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (Management Specialization) with the University of St Mark and St John, and finalizing her last module in Corporate Financial Management in the CSSA Professional Post Graduate Qualification in Company Secretarial and Governance Practice with the Institute of Chartered Secretaries Southern Africa. She brings with her a wealth of experience across various legal disciplines, including but not limited to; commercial labour and contractual law as well as criminal, and civil litigation.
