Ketty Valerie Ruhara

Ketty Valerie Ruhara is a firm believer that African economies will only prosper by creating strong synergy between government and the private sector. She believes that there is need to move from the donor-model to a private sector–led economic driver. Ketty Valerie Ruhara is passionate about seeing the transformation of the African continent into a responsible and respected member of the global economy. In light of her desire to develop and empower leaders, she currently serves as the Deputy Director of Operations for the International Leadership Foundation. She has professional experience in the field of marketing and a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership. After returning from the Washington Fellowship, she plans to help the people and institutions of Burundi be better able to turn their resources into wealth and prosperity with significant improvement of quality of life.
