Khontile Nobuhle Kunene (Koko)
Khontile Nobuhle Kunene has 10 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical sector, four of which have been in strengthening pharmaceutical sector governance and pharmaceutical services. She is currently working as a senior technical advisor for Management Sciences for Health, where she is responsible for supporting the Swaziland Ministry of Health Pharmaceutical Services Department in strengthening pharmaceutical systems and governance. She also supports various charities through fundraising activities in her role as the Swaziland Pharmaceutical Association treasurer. Khontile Nobuhle Kunene holds a Bachelor’s degree of Pharmacy, a Master’s in Business Administration, and post-graduate qualifications in medicines regulatory affairs. Following her participation in the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Koko hopes to be part of the solution to improve health outcomes for people living with HIV/AIDS and TB by ensuring that only medicines of an assured quality are used in Swaziland, and that no one is misinformed to abandoning proven treatment in favor of unproven miracle-treatments.
