Kona Sarah Kollie
Kona Sarah Kollie has five years’work experience in business entrepreneurship and business development. Currently, she is the founder and executive director of the Coalition of Young Women NGOs Network (COYOWONGO), and the Young Liberian Women Organization for Improvement (WOFIM). She is also chairperson for the National Fish Farmers Union of Liberia (NAFFUL), working with more than 400 women and youths who are involved in agribusinesses, especially cassava and fish farming. Her focus is on empowering young women and youth to become successful business entrepreneurs in agriculture, and arts and crafts. Kona Sarah Kollie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Liberia(Africa), where she focused her work on women’s empowerment. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Kona intends to pursue her work in women’s empowerment with a focus on agribusiness, arts and crafts, and advocacy.
