Langalethu Manqele
Mr Langalethu Manqele is the Manager at the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) where he is responsible for the JSE Equities & Equity Derivatives business team.
Prior to this role, Langa spent 10 years at Nedbank Corporate and Investment Banking in Global Markets where he worked as a Trading, Credit and Market Risk Systems specialist and later on as a Senior Manager responsible for Functional Innovation and Projects.
During this 10 year period at Nedbank, he received two Nedbank Top Achiever Awards in 2012 and in 2014. Outside of work, Langa is the chairman of the Black Management Forum (BMF) in Gauteng, serving on the BMF Board and EXCO. He also chairs the Editorial Committee of the African Leader magazine, a business quarterly owned by the BMF.
He is a member of the DTI BB-BEE Advisory Council Sub-Committee on Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act advising the DIT on the proposed Procurement Bill. He holds a Bachelors Degree in International Finance and Investments from CIDA City Campus and he recently completed an Oxford Fintech Programme with Saïd Business School.
Langa is the founder of Fintech4africa, a Fintech Hub operating in Johannesburg that supports small fintech Startups to enter the industry. He is a regular speaker at conferences on topics ranging from the Financial Services trends, Economic Transformation and Fintech.
