Larissa Uwase

Larissa Uwase has over two years of experience in the food industry, specifically focusing on food processing in Rwanda. Currently, Larissa is the Co-founder and Chief Operations Officer at Carl Group, a social enterprise engaged in creating nutritious food and adding value to sweet potatoes, rich in vitamin A. Larissa Uwase holds a bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying from the University of Rwanda.Driven by her commitment to malnutrition and hunger eradication through food production with reduction of food losses, one day Larissa hopes to witness zero hunger. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Larissa plans to continue her work with a focus on the use of cost-effective technologies for a sustainable production of nutritious food.
