Leah Nyambeki Owuor
Leah Nyambeki is a practicing advocate at International Justice Mission in Kenya, where she currently leads the Legal department. Leah focuses her litigation skills on representing victims of child sexual violence and victims of the abuse of power by the police. She also serves on Kenya‘s Victim Protection Board as a board member. Leah is currently undertaking a master’s degree in Law, Democracy and Governance at Nairobi University. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, she plans to continue her work representing victims and advocating for structural reform of the public justice system. There can be no justice without accountability. Leah Nyambeki Owuor is looking forward to working with actors in public justice to ensure that the system is transformed, accessible and working for the poor and vulnerable.
