Leslie Olonyi Bosire
Leslie Olonyi Bosire has five years’ experience in various areas of the legal field. He is passionate about the conservation of the environment through the application of energy, environment, and natural resources laws. He works for WildlifeDirect, an NGO working towards the conservation of wildlife and their habitat. WildlifeDirect is the organization behind the well-known #Handsoffourelephants campaign. Leslie has been a notable participant during the drafting of the Wildlife Act regulations and has also contributed to the proposed amendments to the Wildlife Act. Leslie Olonyi Bosire also monitors court cases that involve wildlife crimes and the prosecution of crimes that touch on wildlife, wildlife habitat and wildlife trophies like ivory and rhino horn. Leslie holds a bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Nairobi and is a registered Arbitrator and Mediator with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. After completing the Fellowship, he plans to continue with conservation of the environment and wildlife so that future generations may also enjoy a clean environment and abundant wildlife.
