Lilian Kalekye Wambua
Lilian Kalekye Wambua has a degree in Electrical and Information engineering from the University of Nairobi, Kenya. Lilian Kalekye Wambua has one year experience in using technology as an agent of change in the community. As part of the Digital Opportunity Trust team Kenya she has impacted over 150 youth in Mombasa with basic I.C.T and entrepreneurial skills and in turn mentored them in starting their own small businesses. She is also currently a volunteer with M-power ladies Mombasa, a community based organization that seeks to empower girls in various STEM fields, and SwahiliBox, an upcoming technology hub in Mombasa. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship Lilian plans furnish her programming and web development skills and start her own business that will involve researching on community problems and in turn coming up with solutions resolve them.
