Lunga

Lunga, During his High School days, he fell in love with Hip Hop, he started listening to instrumentals/beats and he would rap over them. At the age of 19 he started taking his talent seriously and began writing his own lyrics, which led him to producing a mixtape with his fellow friends around Umgababa.

Lunga had created many songs over the years for his project Thelawayeka N1; when Ryme Studios signed him they reworked most of the songs and beats to go with his newly polished style of Rap which he calls Kwaito Rap.

Mtanomuntu is Lunga’s new single, it features Phindile another good talent from Umgababa.

It has been 9 years since Lunga started in the Hip hop scene, he is now taking his music to a different level and strives to reach high standards with his influential lines, hooks and a style that will keep the audience entertained throughout the song.

Lunga is known as L.U in the Rap artists’ circles, his real name is Lungisani Mabunga. He was born in Mashimase on the 24th of April 1987. He is currently residing in Umgababa, South Coast of Durban, South Africa. He is a Hip Hop Artist who started his journey in music while still in Primary School where he was part of a school choir. He always followed local artists and publicly performed their songs.
