Mafalimehang Mamokete Tjabane

Mafalimehang Tjabane has three years of experience in the field of public management, focused on the protection and empowerment of youth, particularly adolescent girls. Currently, Mafalimehang is a tertiary culture advisor at the Maths and Science Academy, focusing on the provision of relevant educational and social information, psycho-social support, mentorship, and career guidance to students. Due to challenges affecting young people such as unwanted pregnancy, HIV/AIDS, child marriage, and gender-based violence, Mafalimehang’s focus is in reducing the number of youth dropping out of school, especially young girls as they are at higher risk than boys. Mafalimehang holds a master’s degree in Public Management from Universiti Brunei Darussalam. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Mafalimehang plans to continue working for the Maths and Science Academy and officially register her consultancy, Triport Hub, which will consist of life coaching and mentorship for adolescents and youth, and family strengthening for young couples.
