Manu Chandaria

Manu Chandaria is a prominent Kenyan industrialist and philanthropist. He is widely recognized for his leadership as the founder of Comcraft Group, a diversified conglomerate that operates in the manufacturing, real estate, and hospitality sectors in Africa and Asia. Manu earned a degree in chemical engineering from the University of Oklahoma in the US, he later returned to Kenya to join his family’s business that manufactured steel products. In 1960, he founded Comcraft Group, which started out as a small-scale producer of steel products in Kenya.Under Manu’s leadership, Comcraft Group grew rapidly, expanding its operations into other sectors, including real estate and hospitality. The group now operates in several countries in Africa and Asia. Manu is also a dedicated philanthropist. He has been involved in several charitable organizations, including the Chandaria Foundation, which he established in 1956 to support education and healthcare initiatives in Kenya. The foundation has since expanded its scope to include projects in other countries in Africa and Asia, and has been recognized for its impact on improving the lives of people in underserved communities.
