The experienced full-back is rejoined AmaZulu FC from Orlando Pirates prior to start of the 2018/19 campaign. Van Heerden left Usuthu for Chippa United July, 2016, before securing a move to Pirates in January 2017.
The Johannesburg-born player is providing competition to South Africa youth international Sibusiso Mabiliso in the left-back position.
