Margaret Nassim Jahangir
Margaret Nassim Jahangir is a clinician working with the Kenyan Ministry of Health. She serves as in charge of the comprehensive care and research clinic, and as deputy clinical officer in charge of the Kilifi County Hospital. Nassim has over five years’ experience in HIV/AIDS management and runs a mentorship program in the hospital as well as for rural health facilities within the county. She obtained her diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery from Portreitz KMTC, Mombasa. Margaret Nassim Jahangir has also received other training including a national advanced HIV course, leadership and management in health, and principles of STI and research methodologies. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Nassim plans to focus on developing a social welfare program for children affected by and infected with HIV in her community with the aim of supporting and nurturing their well-being to adulthood.
