Mariamu Aganze

Mariamu Aganze has four years’ experience in the community development sector, particularly in children’s wellbeing. Mariamu Aganze is currently the monitoring and evaluation officer for World Vision, where she focuses on the implementation of the Neglected Tropical Diseases program for affected young children. She also volunteers in her local community with a local organization, UWEMA as a communication and project officer for the girls’ education project, coordinating fundraising activities to assist vulnerable young girls with access to education. Mariamu holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from Sikkim Manipal University, Uganda and a certificate in Project Management. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Mariamu plans to continue her work in the Eastern Region of Democratic Republic of Congo helping vulnerable children (mostly girls) to access good education in good schools, because she believes that the education of women is the key for the development of her country.
