Marius Schafer

Marius Schafer was appointed Acting Chief Revenue Officer at BCX in June 2018. A management professional with over 25 years in the telecommunications industry, he began working at Telkom in 1990 where he started as a Financial Manager before rising through various positions to Acting Executive and Senior Manager for Supply Chain.

In November 2006 Marius joined the Business Connexion Group as Group Executive for Commercial and Chief Audit. Within this role, Marius was responsible for optimising structures and ensuring governance, and as a result he achieved major cost reductions for the Group.

As Technical Shared Services General Manager, he was appointed as a Stream Lead, and was responsible for driving key streams when Business Connexion integrated with Telkom and became BCX. He was then promoted to Managing Executive for Customer Experience and Sales Operations where he acted as Stream Lead for Project Reset, where he focused on due diligence and driving revenue transformation.

With a natural ability to develop close relationships with others across various platforms, Marius’s existing network and experience accounts for a unique skillset and the business acumen of a modern visionary. He has delivered on objectives in various arenas, while providing a significant contribution to the long-term sustainable growth of an establishment through his business leadership abilities.
