Matsietsi Alina Mokholo

Ms Matsietsi Mokholo was appointed deputy director-general: Legal, Governance, Risk and Transaction in May 2011. She holds a BProc and LLB law degrees from the then University of Durban-Westville. Ms Mokholo completed her articles of clerkship at Haasbroek and Boezaart Attorneys in Pretoria while simultaneously attending her practical legal training at what is now the Law Society of the Northern Provinces. She joined the Black Lawyers Association and became one of the founding members of the Black Lawyers Candidate Attorneys Forum. She is also a non-executive member of the Corporate Lawyers Association of South Africa as well as the Institute of Directors. Her most recent project has been working with a team of international lawyers to review international arbitration proceedings.
