Maurilio Carbonel Mateus

Maurilio Carbonel Mateus is a committed young Angolan professional with over five years of working experience in the oil and gas industry. He is currently a business plan analyst at the Angolan national oil company, Sonangol EP, working directly under the board’s supervision, and is currently focusing on the group’s supply-chain management. Maurilio Carbonel Mateus has passion for continuous improvement and has leadership experience in commercial, financial and analysis teams. Maurílio holds a degree in Business Management from the Metropolitan Institute of Angola. He is currently helping an orphanage in one of Luanda’s poorest neighbourhoods to raise donations and public awareness in order to provide better care for that community. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Maurílio aims to continue working in the oil sector while his own company develops sustainable and affordable services to help his community address healthcare, education, social equality and job opportunities.
