Michael Buttner

Mike Buttner was appointed Chief Operating Officer at BCX in April 2018. He was previously vice president of sales and service management and vice president of service delivery at T-Systems, and spent more than three years in the Netherlands. He is a skilled technology delivery specialist with 33 years’ experience in the ICT and financial services industries, and has extensive service delivery leadership expertise.

Prior to joining BCX, he held several senior positions, including senior manager of the fulfilment centre at Standard Bank, part of the regional executive team and the national operations executive team at the AST Group, regional manager of SX Enterprise Solutions, and divisional manager at Old Mutual.

Always eager to tackle a problem, Mike is a passionate solutions-focused ICT operations specialist with expertise in turnarounds and consolidations. Driven to succeed, he is an individual who can focus on delivery from the perspective of the client, and put procedures and structures in place. His personal motto is, “Maybe Never Wins!”

Mike is inspired by the strategy and mission of BCX, and is ready to contribute to ensuring its future growth by delivering real value for the business and its customers.
