Miguel Vega

Miguel Vega is the Vice President for Systems at IBM Middle East and Africa, since 2016. He is responsible for delivering client success and business results across all IBM Infrastructure brands, for both Hardware and Software.

With over 20 years of experience working at IBM including South Africa, Miguel has worked across several business units, industries and geographies. In each of his positions, he has been a trusted advisor for several clients and markets. He leads with success and focuses on achieving growth in market share. He has expertise in several areas including infrastructure, data, banking, public sector as well as Latin America, Middle East and Africa territories. His expertise lies in providing comprehensive solutions that integrate Cloud, AI, Data and IBM Services. 

Miguel Vega has been based in Dubai since 2011, where he was first responsible for the Power brand before taking up the Mainframe franchise for Middle East and Africa in 2013. 

Miguel holds an Electrical Engineering degree from Universidad Simon Bolivar, Venezuela as well as a Post Graduate degree in Business Management from American Institute of Higher Business Management (IPADE), Mexico.
