Mo Flava
Born in South Africa on the 2nd July 1984 in Dube Soweto, Mo Flava embarked on a media studies diploma at Boston Media House, majoring in Radio Broadcasting and Programming as well as Journalism. He is focused and ambitious, driven by an intense interest and passion for the media at large. Mo’s interest in radio stems from the medium’s ability to relate to different people in a very personal and interactive manner. He views radio as one of the main drivers not only of information but also of popular culture and perception.
As of the 1st of April 2015, Mo Flava started his brand new morning show called “The Morning Fix” on a national radio station, Metro FM where he cohosts with Sammy Sosa. The show airs every Mon-Fri from 8am till 10am.
Mo Flava was the host of a popular music show called Club808 on Etv, airing every Fridays at 7:30pm. He has been presenting the show since it started in 2010 till February 2015. He has been a professional Dj for 9 years and has played at popular venues, events, and night-clubs around the country. He has also played at major events in Miami and Ibiza. Mo has brought out 3 compilations-Rock the Girls V1, HOUSE OF FLAVA V1 and V2- which have retailed at Look and Listen and Musica, as well as iTunes and online. He has produced singles such as “Dear Stranger”; “Got it all”; and “Stay”, which have all risen up the dance charts on YFM and Metro FM, and play listed across the country on Lesedi FM, Gagasi FM and Capricorn FM.
He is signed up with Soul Candi Records and released a house music project called Soul Candi Sessions featuring the likes of Cueber, Lulo Café, Harael Salkow and Tellaman, which sold gold status in a matter of weeks. The most trading song on the airwaves and also on the screens is one titled ‘Mfanomuntu’, where he features Coco Soul and Mzeezolyt.
