Moyombuya Ndatenda Ngubula
Moyombuya Ngubula has over five years of experience in the legal profession. She currently works at the Attorney General’s Chambers Botswana in the International and Commercial Division of the International Trade Unit, where she assists with research in preparation for trade negotiations, drafts government commercial contracts, and renders legal advice to government ministries and departments on commercial matters, trade matters, bilateral and multilateral agreements. Moyo holds an LLB from the University of Cape Town and a master’s in International Trade Law from the same institution. Moyo is a founding member and Executive Secretary of Ladies with Purpose (LWP), a registered nonprofit organization that mentors and gives socio-economic support to girls from disadvantaged backgrounds who show academic potential. She is also a founding member of the Executive Committee for her alma mater’s alumni chapter in Botswana. Through the chapter, she works to present the alumni base in Botswana with networking opportunities and opportunities to give back to their communities. Upon completion of the fellowship Moyo intends to continue her work with LWP and to continue with her work at the Attorney General’s Chambers with a specific focus on the interplay between law, particularly international trade law, and development and explore possible reforms.
