Mr Bonny Thebenyane

Bonny Thebenyane is the Vice Board Chairmain of Botswana Power Corporation. Mr Thebenyane holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting). He currently serves as the Group Secretary for Debswana where he has worked since August 1997. He is also a fellow and a Director of the Southern African Division of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators.

In 2006 he was elected the Institute’s President, being the youngest and first person to assume this leadership role from outside South Africa in the Division’s history, culminating in him being bestowed with the Institute’s Distinguished Service Award in 2011. He has previously served on the Debswana Pension Fund Board of Trustees
