Mr. Kwesi Sam
Mr. Kwesi Sam is a seasoned Book Publisher with over 46 years’ working experience. Mr. Kwesi Sam entered the business of Book Publishing in the year 1969; worked part-time for 2 years with Caffrey Saunders U.K. a firm of Educational suppliers, representing 12 British Book Publishers and Stationery Producers in West Africa; he was appointed the Ghana Representative for Evans Brothers (Books) Ltd, a firm of Educational Publishers based in London.
He later became a Consultant/Adviser to West African Book Publishers Ltd (WABP), an Associate Company of Academy Press Ltd. of Nigeria for the development of the Company’s first Educational Book Publishing Project. He joined the promoters of Afram Publications (Ghana) Ltd (AFRAM) as a Shareholding Partner and first Managing Director of AFRAM to establish the first privately owned, indigenous Educational Book Publishing Company fully dedicated to developing the Textbooks Publishing Business in Ghana.
He later set up another educational publishing enterprise, which grew to become Sam-Woode Ltd (SWL). He served as the Executive Chairman and the Chief Executive Officer of SWL till his retirement in 2011. He now serves as a Non-Executive Chairman/Consultant of SWL
