Mr. Nik Amartefio
Mr. Amarteifio is the Chairman and majority shareholder of Dannex Limited and provides strategic direction for the company in the highly competitive pharmaceutical industry in Ghana. Recently, Mr. Amarteifio was named the new board chairman of Starwin and Ayrton as a result of Dannex acquiring the majority shares in Starwin Products Limited and Aryton Drugs Limited.
Nik Amartefio was the Chairman (1998-2011) of African Selection Mining Corporation a quoted company on the Canadian dealing Network; and partnered Axmin Limited in several gold exploration projects in Mali, Guinea and Ghana. The Mali project was sold to Avion Gold Exploration of Canada in 2011.
Mr. Amarteifio was the Vice Chairman (1992-1996) of International Gold Resources, a Toronto stock exchange quoted company whose exploration effort resulted in the discovery of significant gold reserves in the Bibiani Gold Mines in Ghana and Poura Gold Mines in Burkina Faso. Both Bibiani Mines and Poura Mines were sold to Ashanti Goldfields in 1996.
Mr. Amarteifio was the Vice Chairman (1998-1999) of Magnesium Alloy Company Limited (involved in Magnesium and Potash Exploration in Congo Brazzaville); a quoted company on the Canadian Dealing Network.
Mr. Amarteifio is the Founder and Chairman of Omini Media, the owners of Citi FM Radio Station.
Mr. Amarteifio is the vice chairman (2001- date) of Ghana Agro Foods Company (GAFCO), a pioneer agro-food processing company in Ghana.

In 2008, Mr. Amarteifio was awarded the Order of the Volta Companion by Ex-President John Agyekum Kufour. Mr. Amarteifio has played a key role in aspects of Ghana’s development. He was the Lead Director (2001-2008) of the Central Bank of Ghana and a member of the Board. He also Served on the Ghana Investments Advisory Council (GIAC) which was an advisory board formed to advise Ex-President John A. Kufour of the Republic of Ghana on Foreign Direct Investment Strategies to Ghana.
Mr. Amarteifio is a product of Mawuli Secondary School (1964) in the Volta Region of Ghana, and Achimota School (1966) in the Greater Accra Region.
Mr. Amarteifio loves sports. He is a supporter and a shareholder of Accra Great Olympics football club, and an avid golfer.
Mr. Amarteifio graduated from Wesleyan University on an ASAPU scholarship administered by The African American Institute (AAI) in 1970 with BA in Economics. He went to Harvard Business School in 1973 on a Ford Foundation Fellowship grant for his Masters in Business Administration.
