Mustapha Dauda Gwary

Mustapha Dauda Gwary worked with the National Polio Emergency Operations Center as Monitoring and Accountability Officer where he was responsible for monitoring polio eradication activities. Mustapha Dauda Gwary is the founder and Project Coordinator of Water for Sustainable Living Initiative, an NGO that focuses on providing communities with access to clean water and informing them of the importance of hygiene and sanitation. He has a PGD in Strategic Studies and holds a bachelor’s degree in English Language. On completion of the Washington Fellowship, Mustapha intends to strengthen and expand his NGO and engage/educate youths on their roles in developing Nigeria and demanding good governance. Mustapha was one of 100 Fellows competitively selected to participate in an 8-week internship in the United States following the Mandela Washington Fellowship academic institute. He interned at the El Pomar Foundation in August-September 2014.
