Muzi Sakhile Warren Ngwenya

Muzi Sakhile Warren Ngwenya is an entertainment industry professional who has established the professional music industry in Swaziland through identifying talent, nurturing it, recording and preparing music for broadcast through his record label Claiming Ground Records. Having worked to develop this industry for the past 10 years, he has established formidable structures to promote Swazi Music, including Swazi Rhythm compilations, which feature established and upcoming local artists, as well as the Swazi Tone of Real Music (STORM) Festival that celebrates local talent. Upon completion of the Washington Fellowship, Muzi Sakhile Warren Ngwenya hopes to further grow and professionalize the music industry in Swaziland by creating an artistic development program for young Swazi musicians
