Nana Akwasi Awuah is a young practicing lawyer with a passion for good governance, social accountability, and social justice. He has held several leadership positions from basic school to the tertiary level and during his first year of practice as a lawyer, successfully organized the historic July 1st 2014 #OccupyFlagstaffHouse protest in Ghana as part of his advocacy for good governance. Nana Akwasi Awuah is a founder of the OccupyGhana Movement which is now a formidable voice in the demands for good governance. Awuah is skilled at mobilizing citizen support using various forums, including social media. He is a good writer and possesses excellent communication skills. He believes in a multifaceted approach to advocacy by employing various methods of citizen engagement. Awuah aims to use the experience, knowledge, and network gained from the Mandela Washington Fellowship to advance his advocacy for good governance, social accountability, and social justice.
