Nelson Akonkwa Cishugi

Nelson Akonkwa Cishugi is a Congolese trainer and entrepreneur, an Adobe-certified expert, a content-strategy specialist, and a graphic and web designer, operating in the field of information and communication technology. With over six years’ experience in the field of creating application and user-experience design, Nelson Akonkwa Cishugi advises and implements complete solutions for businesses, ranging from customer care to more advanced systems for an optimized user experience. Nelson is also a volunteer in several local communities and in the sub-region, where, through incubation centers and nonprofit organizations, he helps to train young people to technology. Through these platforms, over 3,000 young people have been trained in Congo, Rwanda, Ivory Coast, and Tunisia in the past two years. An autodidact and Afro-optimist, Nelson strongly believes in the development of Africa by Africans. By participating in the Mandela Washington Fellowship, he hopes to become more efficient and thereafter participate more actively in this development.
