Nonhlanhla Mkhize
Dr Nonhlanhla Mkhize was appointed interim Director-General for the Mpumalanga Administration in September 2012. She holds BEd, BA Honours, and MA degrees, as well as a DLitt et Phil. Dr Mkhize has extensive experience in senior positions in both the Public Service and the education sector.
Before her appointment in the Department of Women, Children and People with Disabilities, Dr Mkhize served as acting deputy director-general.
She also served as head of the policy and governance branch in the Office of the Premier in KwaZulu-Natal. Her achievements include facilitating the drafting of the Geographical Names Council Bill and coordinating the legislative process until it became an Act
She also initiated and facilitated telephone interpreting services for South Africa, which was piloted in all national government
