Nothando Ndebele

Nothando Ndebele is Head of FIG (Financial Institutions Group) at Barclays Africa having joined the Bank in October 2014. Formerly Nothando was Head of Research at Renaissance Capital for 5 years where she was also the top-rated SSA FIG research analyst over that period covering.

She has over 20 years experience in African financial markets – both on the Buyside and the Sellside, and specifically has covered African financial institutions for over 15 years.

Nothando has had extensive interaction with African, Frontier and GEM corporates and investors.

Nothando holds an MBA from the Said Business at the University of Oxford. She also has a MSc. in Anthropology from the University Oxford which she attended as a Rhodes’ Scholar. She is a CFA charterholder and has a BA in Economics from Harvard University.
