Olanrewaju Sulaiman
Olanrewaju Sulaiman is the Chief Executive of OMS Consulting Limited – a firm that specializes in Strategy and Manpower development. He started his career, in 1983, at the Central Bank of Nigeria and moved, in 1989, to the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation NDIC as one of the pioneer staff. He was appointed Director of Bank Examination, NDIC in January, 2006 and became Director, Asset Management Department in November 2012. He retired from the services of the Corporation on 31st December, 2013.
An accomplished Bank Supervisor and Risk Management Specialist, Olanrewaju Sulaiman holds an honours degree in Business from the University of Maiduguri and a Masters in Finance from the University of Calabar. He also attended numerous high profile open enrolment training programmes on Banking Supervision, Risk Management, General Management, Corporate Strategy, and Leadership at institutions such as the Financial Stability Institute, Bank of International Settlement, Basel. Switzerland; Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University; IMD, Lausanne, Switzerland; Ross Business School, University of Michigan; Chicago Booths of the University of Chicago; Columbia Business School, New York; and the London Business School, among others. Mr Sulaimon has a passion for excellence, professionalism and integrity.
Aside serving on various interagency committees of the NDIC, CBN and FSRCC, Mr Sulaimon was for many years, before retirement, the Chairman of the Investigation Panel of the Sub-Committee of the Bankers’ Committee on Ethics and Professionalism; Member, Governing Council, Bank Directors Association of Nigeria; Member, Practice License Board, Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria; and Member, Governing Council, Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria.
