Orapeleng Phuswane

Orapeleng Phuswane has three years’ experience working in Princess Marina Hospital as a medical officer and is currently doing her residency in Pediatrics. One day, she dreams of owning a children’s home focused on children with disabilities like Cerebral Palsy, and other neuro-developmental disorders. Currently, her main role at the hospital is to do clinics, ward rounds, and some of the minor administrative jobs in the department. She interacts with a lot of parents everyday, as well as other staff members, and hopes that being part of the hospital will give her more skills to interact with clients everyday in the public sector. Orapeleng is passionate about the wellbeing of children and making sure they reach their full potential. On returning to Botswana after the Fellowship she will continue with her mission to open the children’s home for children with neuro-developmental delay.
