Oumou Souare

Oumou Souare is from Kindia in the Republic of Guinea. Originally wanting to become a doctor at treat people at the hospital, Oumou became interested in global warming and decided to take science subjects at high school to become an environmentalist after graduation. An active member of student association Les Amis du Future (LAF), Oumou Souare worked as a part-time sales agent for a marketing company called Centre International D’echanges et de Promotion (CIEPEX) for two years. She then worked as a graduate trainee for two months before being recruited on a fixed-term contract in 2009 as a Spray Agent. Two years later, she became an Assistant Occupational Hygienist at Siguiri Goldmine Health Department. An avid traveller, Oumou has visited Mali, Ghana, South Africa, the USA, France, Germany and Belgium for studies and tourism. Her hobbies include watching movies, listening to music and dancing, reading novels, playing tennis, and travelling. Oumou is also interested in entrepreneurship.
