Paschal Awingura Apanga
Paschal Apanga works in the Ghana health service as a Public Health Specialist and Medical Superintendent of the Talensi District Hospital in the Upper East Region. Through his innovative leadership, he transformed the Tongo Health Centre to district hospital status in the Talensi District. Besides the responsibility of ensuring the daily operations and management of the hospital and leading the development and implementation of public health interventions to address the numerous health problems in the Talensi district, Paschal is also involved in research for evidence-informed decision making in the Upper East Region in Ghana. Paschal Awingura Apanga has authored and co-authored 12 research papers published in reputable, high-impact journals.Paschal holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from the University of Sheffield in the United Kingdom. In addition, he recently completed the Public Health Specialist program with the Faculty of Public Health of the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons, and is now a member of the college. He is looking forward to enhancing his leadership competencies and skills, and building networks to contribute to the general health and well-being of the Ghanaian population.
