Patricia Ngoy

Patricia Ngoy is a telecommunication engineer from the DRC who has worked with several telecom companies, including Alink Telecom. She is also an influential and frequent speaker at youth and women’s empowerment events. To close the gender gap in the telecommunication industry, she is a passionate mentor for young girls. Patricia Ngoy founded Piccolo Africa, a platform that gives young women the practical training they need to get a job or to start their own small IT business. It also connects international women engineers to young African women just entering the telecommunication industry. Patricia also belongs to the UN online volunteering program and is the ambassador of InterNations in Africa. Once she has completed the Mandela Washington Fellowship, her dream is to launch the first African telecom company with women engineers executing all technical IT-related tasks. She intends to build mentorship and employment opportunities for young women in telecommunication.
