Born and bred in Durban, with a passion for the entertainment industry, Pearl continues with determination to make her mark on the industry that she loves. Having completed a Start-up Venture Course at WITS Business School, she knows what it takes to do so. She is currently continuing her studies, completing a BA Communications Science through UNISA. Her career to date spans across several genres and she has been regularly voted for in different categories and awards as one of South Africa’s favourite personalities. As the co-owner of her own modeling agency, Pearl continues to keep her entrepreneurial spirit and zest for success alive!

A highly sought after event MC, with her vivacious personality and entertaining charisma, Pearl has been privileged to host some of the country’s biggest and best events for the likes of Mimco, Grazia, the 2013 Elle Style Awards, 2014 Drum Darlings, Durbanfest, the 2014 SA Golf Open as well as Castle Lite’s Feel the Beat of Sub Zero Experience featuring Kanye West and the Extra Cold Music Concert featuring Timbaland, Nas and Wiz Khalifa.

Pearl has graced our television screens in recent years, with her infectious personality and natural talent. Well known for her acting career, and nominated for a 2013 SAFTA (South African Film and Television Awards), she counts roles and appearances in Zone 14 (one of South Africa’s Top 10 shows), Soul City, Rhythm City, Family Bonds, Number 1 Ladies Detective Agency, and iCrew as career highlights. In 2013, she secured a leading role on Isidingo (one of South Africa’s leading and longest running soap opera) playing Palesa Motuang, showing that her television career continues to grow from strength to strength. In early 2014, Pearl successfully gained her first lead role in a feature film titled Kalushi – The Solomon Mhlangu Story, scheduled for release later in the year. Aside from being one of the country’s leading actresses, Pearl is also a coveted TV presenter. As a former co-host of the leading TV show Real Gaboza on SABC 1, she continues on our screens as the lead host of the popular Friday-night music show Live AMP alongside DJ Warras and Luthando Shosha where she entertains over 9 million viewers weekly and interviews some of the world’s biggest artists. After featuring as a contestant on Tropika Island of Treasure Season 5 (filmed in Jamaica), Pearl was also selected as host for the Season 6 of the hit reality show Tropika Island of Treasure which aired in early 2014.

Blossoming into a much-loved radio personality, Pearl currently co-hosts the Saturday morning show from 05:00 – 09:00 on South Africa’s largest national urban commercial station with over 3.1 million listeners, Metro FM, alongside the acclaimed Real Phat Joe. She has also more recently taken on hosting The Blackout on Metro FM every Sunday morning between 01:00 and 03:00.

As a former Miss KZN, and First Runner-up in Miss SA Teen in 2003, Pearl has had a highly successful modeling career to date, appearing in adverts for Vodacom, Edgars, Jet, Altech Netstar, DSTV, Khomanani, SANBS, Toyota, Kel- logg’s Special K, Danone and KFC to name but a few. This stunning beauty has graced the covers of many high-profile magazines including City Press iMag (November 2013), Blaque Magazine (November 2013), Gaschette Magazine (December 2013), Destiny Hair (December 2013), Bona Magazine (February 2014), True Love (May 2014) and Dossier Magazine (September 2014). She has also appeared in several glossy magazine editorials including Wom- en’s Health, Elle, Glamour and Hype Magazine.
