Priscilla Lynnette Fundisile Nzimande

Commissioner Priscilla Lynnette Fundisile Nzimande is a part –time Commissioner at the CGE. She holds a BA degree, a post – graduate diploma in Higher Education, amongst others. She has vast experience in the education sector with roles in management, research and leadership.

Commissioner Nzimande was once a Vice President for SADTU where she led the Gender Desk for a period of five years. Apart from her previous roles in the education sector, Commissioner Nzimande was also a Commissioner at the Commission for Employment Equity on a part – time basis.

She is an ardent researcher who has an interest in multiple subject matters which include, gender, women empowerment, participatory budgeting and socio-economic issues. She has been at the helm of Ditsela Worker Education Institute.

Commissioner Nzimande sits on the Legal and Complaints, Human Resources, Research and Education, IT and Communications Committees of the CGE.

She is a member of the Board of Priscilla Lynnette Fundisile Nzimande where she Chairs the I&IT Committee and participates in the Remuneration Committee, The Executive Committee and the Audit and Risk Committee. She is also a member in the Transformation Oversight Committee (TOC) that advises the Minister of Higher Education on Transformation Matters. Commissioner Nzimande also writes fiction and poetry some of which is published on the African Pen website.
