Qiniso Anele Motsa
Qiniso Motsa is a poet, musician, author, and social activist with over ten years of experience in the youth development movement. As one of the founding members of an arts development organization known as Rooted Soulz, his responsibilities include identifying undiscovered talent, mentoring, grooming, and providing a platform for its showcasing. Additionally, his demonstrated spirit for volunteerism in his community and recognizable influence has led ministries of government, embassies and several non-profit organizations to engage him in sensitizing the youth on key social messages such as the understanding of modern femininity and masculinity, sexual reproductive health, underage drinking and alcoholism, disability/differently-abled rights and artist rights. Qiniso is a final year law student at the University of Swaziland, focusing chiefly on Water Law where he seeks to persuade all arms of government in his country to recognize water as a basic human right as opposed to a good. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Qiniso plans to establish an arts center in Swaziland where the youth can absorb transferable skills and hone their own, the differently-abled can express themselves artistically, and the arts can be employed as a tool to involve the community.
