Raphael Stephen

Raphael Stephen is a young African born and raised in Nigeria, a country he has so much believe in.

He has a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Ibadan and is a trained Project manager who has undergone training in Entrepreneurship, Leadership, and Management with the Entrepreneurship Development Center (EDC).

Raphael is also a consulting and communication professional whose depth of experience is varied, with competence in leadership development, volunteer management, communication for development, image and business branding, marketing for development, professional compering, storytelling, fundraising, social media management, and engagement.

Raphael doesn’t just talk about leadership, he lives it. He does more than inspire a movement, he initiates it.

Raphael founded the Fame Foundation for Leadership Development in 2017 after his national youth service in Kano State, Nigeria, which is a volunteer-driven intervention that is committed to helping imprint an authentic picture of what leadership is, in the minds of young people in local communities in Nigeria and Africa leveraging on Education, Empowerment and Mentorship.

Since inception, Raphael has worked with over 200 young volunteers from different parts of Nigeria to re-orientate over 7000 teenagers and youths from over 40 public, private secondary schools, and tertiary institutions in Ibadan, and across Nigeria.

So far, several hundred are being empowered from the strategic clubs, he and his team create in every impacted school.

He is a highly sought after public speaker, trainer, youth mentor and project manager whose contributions to the social sector with the support of his invaluable team has fetched several recognition’s and commendations from the likes of the phenomenal Fela Durotoye, who has endorsed the great work of his initiative by the public sharing of the work of his organization and support of his Initiative.

In November 2018, Raphael was nominated as part of 15 outstanding young social innovators in Nigeria and awarded as the overall winner of the Talent of the Future Award by Ideation Hub Africa.

He currently serves as the Executive Director of the Fame Foundation for Leadership Development.
