Rapula Petrus Otukile

Rapula Otukile started his career in the financial services sector, where he worked as a commercial banking relationship manager before becoming an investment consultant at an asset consulting company. Rapula then established a private healthcare business, which he has been managing for two years. The company is focused on pharmaceutical distribution, health promotion, and affordable access to medical products in remote parts of Botswana. Rapula holds a honors degree in Finance from Rhodes University in South Africa. He is driven to develop private healthcare solutions which promote easy and affordable access to communities in Botswana. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Rapula plans to continue developing affordable access to private healthcare services, with a focus on establishing multi-disciplinary facilities in the form of poly-clinics. He also plans to establish a consumer cooperative to increase access to medication for patients without medical insurance.
