Richard Selormey (Ricardo)

Ricardo has been the head of the Dental Department of the St. Elizabeth Catholic Hospital in Hwidiem for the past four years, where he instituted weekly clinical meetings and revived mortality audits. He also played a major role in establishing various skills training programs and is the deputy general secretary of the Ghana Dental Association and the Brong-Ahafo Divisional Secretary of the Ghana Medical Association. Richard Selormey is actively involved in community service and philanthropy, holds a BSc in Medical Sciences, and a Bachelor’s degree of Dental Surgery from the University of Ghana Dental School. He also has certificates in health administration and management from Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), and occupational health and safety from ICM-UK. Ricardo plans to implement a School Oral Health program and set up an NGO to give funding and mentorship to needy but brilliant students, especially in deprived communities.
