Ronnie L. Mulaudzi
Ronnie L. Mulaudzi is truly an inspirational and dynamic young man. His desire for excellence, meritocracy and achievement are astounding. He has excelled academically achieving a Master of Commerce degree in Industrial & Organisational Psychology. His understanding of organisations and business are noteworthy. Ronnie is a person who is determined to explore and exploit all his skills, gifts and talents to the fullest. He has had a very successful career in corporate working for some of the best blue chip companies in South Africa. He has been appointed to do both local and international assignments. In 2015 Ronnie won the Standard Bank Rising Star Awards, representing professionals in the retail sector.
Over and above his professional work, Ronnie launched his music career in 2015 at the World of Yamaha. It was yet the beginning of another chapter for this young man. Under his own record label, he has since released 5 pieces of independent musical works. He has released an award-winning debut album, three singles and an extended play. He has won two awards since he launched his music career, one Crown Gospel Music Award for best song and the Tshivenda Music Award for best newcomer.
Ronnie further has interests in public speaking, master of ceremonies work and broadcasting. He has been on various stages presenting on various topics to hundreds of delegates both in South Africa and the rest of the Continent. Ronnie made a presentation on the Changing World of Work back in 2018 at a Youth Summit in Benin. He delivered an empowering and thought-provoking speech. He had a partnership with the UNISA Careers Development Unit.
The work that he has been doing as the Group Chief Operating Officer of a boutique family owned business called Sakhumnotho Group Holdings that makes him stand out even more. Ronnie has professionalised the business, implemented policies and procedures, systems and has supported the growth of the business. He has further strengthened the work that the company does in giving back to various communities through its various charitable courses. Overall, he is a well balanced individual, professional, father, musician and citizen we should all be proud of as Africans.
Ronnie Mulaudzi has a corporate career spanning over 15 years, across a number of sectors including consulting, public sector, manufacturing, retail, and investments. He is an accomplished professional with over 6 years of executive experience as a Chief Operations Officer in the investments sector. He has developed a wide-ranging skill set over the years in business leadership, operations, strategy development & execution, governance & compliance, corporate communications, HR, budgeting & financial management, IT, facilities & property management, and corporate social responsibility. Ronnie currently acts as a Spokesperson for Sakhumnotho Group Holdings and MC’s various inhouse business events and stakeholder relations activities. Ronnie also conducts training and coaching to SMEs on Operations, HR, and Governance related matters. Ronnie currently manages the Sakhumnotho property portfolio valued at an estimated R555 million. He also participates in various SME incubation programmes to support the growth of SMEs. Ronnie speaks on various platforms and contributes to executive-level industry panels.
As a Junior HR Director, Ronnie participated in the Walmart Global Emerging Leaders Programme in 2015. He successfully led the Massmart EVP development and implemented various HR systems and solutions at Group level, which had an impact at divisional level nationally. Ronnie is the winner of the 2015 Standard Bank Rising Star Awards in the Retail and Manufacturing sector. He currently sits on the University of South Africa IOP Advisory Board, made up of several industry representatives who contribute to the University’s curriculum development.
He currently reports to the Sakhumnotho Group Holdings Board, The Social, Ethics & Transformation Committee and the Governance, Strategy and Remuneration Committee. Ronnie is a member of the Institute of Directors in South Africa (IoDSA) and completed the Corporate Governance & Board Effectiveness training.
Ronnie has served as an independent non-executive director at the City of Johannesburg, Pik it Up state-owned entity. He has been rotated to the Joburg Water state owned entity as of February 2023.

Through his professional work heading up graduate training and development programmes for various corporations he has contributed to the growth of many young professionals. For example, he led the training of two cohorts of Diplomat Trainees, for the Department of International Relations & Cooperation 2009/2010, in New York & Addis Ababa. It was his extensive work visiting universities around the country, educating students about career opportunities in various industries, that has impacted the lives of hundreds of young professionals.
Through his motivational talks, he continues to empower others with the wealth of knowledge he has gathered over the years. This work is further carried out through his broadcasting work on radio. His partnership with the UNISA career development unit further provides him with a platform to share knowledge and empower youth. He delivers quarterly career presentations to UNISA students since 2022 and plans to continue this partnership for the foreseeable future. He has done motivational talks in South Africa, Benin Republic, Eswatini, Lesotho and Kenya. He truly is an aspiring young African leader of our time.
His contribution to the UNISA Industrial & Organisational Psychology Board affords him the opportunity to contribute to curriculum development. This is a voluntary role which gives various industry experts the opportunity to participate in influencing the integration between academia and industry.
Through the BBBEE initiatives at Sakhumnotho Group, he has initiated a busy programme that contributes to the education and training of over 60 final-year students in the fields of finance, investments, marketing and operations.
Furthermore, through the CSI initiatives at his work, he is part of the committee that ensures thousands of families and children in South Africa and SADC are provided food parcels, stationery and uniform hampers every year.
