Ruby Mensah
Ruby Aileen Mensah is a pharmacist with over ten years’ experience in the health sector. Currently she is a Deputy Director at the National Health Insurance Authority of Ghana where she oversees the management of the National Health Insurance Scheme’s Benefit Package, Medicines List, Service Tariffs and Provider Payment Methods. She has also been actively involved in the review of the National Medicines Policy, Standard Treatment Guidelines and Essential Medicines List of the Ministry of Health. Ruby holds a Master’s Degree in International Healthcare Management from the University of Aberdeen. Ruby Mensah is passionate about health system strengthening activities that institute measures to improve access to quality medicines in pursuit of attaining Universal Health Coverage. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Ruby hopes to continue her work in initiating interventions that influence healthcare delivery positively, especially in the area of making pharmaceuticals accessible and affordable to the general populace.
